WHAT IS SOIL EROSION ?

Soil erosion is the natural process of soil particles being detached and moved from one location to another by the forces of wind, water, and gravity. Soil erosion is a slow but continuous process that can have significant impacts on soil health, agricultural productivity, and water quality.

It can be caused by both natural factors and human activities, such as deforestation, land clearance for agriculture or urbanization, overgrazing, and unsustainable land use practices.
